POSITION: BACK DOCK LEAD LOCATION: SEWARD GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Areas of responsibility include case-up, boxes, and sanitation in those areas. Ensures efficient glazing, scaling, accounting, and off-loading of fresh and frozen product. Reports to Back Dock Supervisor and works closely with Quality Assurance, Process Lead and Supervisor, Safety and HR Department. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee case-up to attain the smoothest, most efficient flow. • Train and coordinate crew of up to 45 employees. • Ensure the safety of crew by monitoring safe use of equipment and correcting hazards. • Ensure the production of a quality product as per Icicle specifications. • Must be conscientious about seafood quality and good manufacturing practices. • Supervise employees on and off the line. • Practice fairness and equality. • Support all company policies on and off work. • Perform accurate tallies and inventories. • Monitor supplies and keep area clean and stocked. • Be able to perform within a team environment. • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience in the Seafood Industry. • Valid Driver’s license preferred. • Conscientious of accuracy and details. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • An understanding and enthusiasm for Icicle goals and policies. • Positive attitude and ability to motivate people. • Able to adjust well to changes in production with short notice. • Must be able to live and work in confined quarters.
